Evening Delivery Driver (On-Call, 1099)

Location: Wilmington, NC

Schedule: Evening availability window required (typically 6:00 PM to 9:30PM)

Compensation

- $12 per hour when actively on route

- Keep 95% of delivery tips

- $1.50 per completed stop

- Performance-based bonuses available

Position Overview

Hempire Innovations is hiring an evening delivery driver to fulfill local customer orders.

This is an on-call position, not a fixed shift. You will be contacted when delivery routes are ready, and you must be available to respond and execute within a reasonable timeframe.

Routes are grouped and optimized. This is not single-order, on-demand driving. You may complete multiple deliveries per route depending on volume.

This role is best for someone who is dependable, responsive, and comfortable working independently without supervision.

What You’ll Do

- Pick up prepared orders and complete assigned delivery routes

- Navigate efficiently between multiple stops

- Deliver orders accurately and professionally

- Communicate clearly during routes if issues arise

- Represent the brand well at each customer interaction

- Follow all delivery procedures and internal SOPs

- Return any required materials or documentation after route completion

Requirements

- Valid driver’s license

- Reliable personal vehicle

- Current registration and insurance

- Smartphone with navigation and app capability

- Ability to follow routing instructions and complete multi-stop deliveries

- Strong reliability and responsiveness

Important Notes

- This is an on-call role, not a guaranteed-hour position

- You are paid when actively working routes, not for waiting time

- Availability during evening hours is required to remain eligible

- Consistency and responsiveness determine how often you are called
