What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Assistant position at HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate the concession stand(s) during special events including handling all sales, stocking product, and any necessary clean up.
- Basic cleaning of the facility.
- Providing support during Parks and Recreation or Township Special Events and programs and leagues.
- Assist the Program, Special Events, and Sports Assistant with any general operational needs for programs, special events, and sports leagues.
- Attendance at staff meetings and trainings.
- Provide other services and perform other duties as requested by full-time Hempfield Township Parks & Recreation Staff.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Hand eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office and park equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or listen; sit; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, equipment or controls; reach with hands and arms. The employee must have a driver's license and a safe driving record. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Occasional opportunities will be available for daytime coverage The scheduled work beings at 4:00 pm on weekdays. Weekend shifts are dependent on the season and programming calendar.
