JOB DESCRIPTION: The Learning Management Systems Manager will oversee, coordinate, develop, design, and track the content, usage, impact, and functionality of the learning management system (LMS) platform and related programs. In coordination with the IT department, aid in ensuring the platform is user-friendly and operating as expected. Provide the communications department with the necessary information and content for promoting the platform to the blood disorders community. The individual in this role will also successfully demonstrate servant leadership, manage multiple projects, possess a strong work ethic, demonstrate excellent communication and analytical skills, and a high attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES: In this role, the Learning Management Systems Manager will carry out the duties required of the position. These include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of a learning management system to meet the needs and objectives of HFA and the blood disorder community
- Establish quantitative and qualitative goals and objectives for the LMS and ensure all content, courses, and the like are aligned with the aims of HFA and the community it serves; periodically revisit and update
- Create, develop, manage, organize, and update online courses with supporting materials and applicable assessments to meet learning objectives
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to gather and build the content library, resources, and courses
- Conduct periodic analysis of the content, usage rates, assessment results, and feedback to promote continuous improvement of courses and other materials
- Implement improvements and enhancements based on the periodic analysis related to the LMS
- Create user guides and instructions for registration, usage, and problem-solving for the users of the platform
- Monitor and conduct periodic tests of the system, courses, and other features to ensure functionality, security, and overall performance of the platform
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams (e.g., IT, Communications, Education, and external partners as needed) to ensure the timely delivery of educational content and learning products.

KEY RESULTS:
- Ensure the HFA LMS functions at an optimal level that meets HFA’s mission and purpose
- Expand, update, and improve the content library, available courses, and supporting materials
- Increase the reach of the platform to more users and a broader base of consumers
- Evaluate program processes and lead continual improvement efforts
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- At least 1 year of proven, successful experience in a related field
- Excellent oral, written and social media communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to details
- Excellent organizational and office administration skills
- Demonstrated project management experience, certification a plus
- Possess servant leader attitude and team player mentality
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Some evenings, weekends, and travel (at least four to five times a year) required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Windows 7 and above.
- Proficient in applicable systems and software.
- Experience with the bleeding disorders community is a plus.
