Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and materials handling
- Lead and motivate warehouse staff to achieve productivity targets while maintaining high safety standards
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely distribution and delivery schedules are met
- Oversee inventory control processes using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for accuracy
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently, adhering to OSHA regulations
- Implement process improvements and lean management techniques to enhance warehouse efficiency
- Conduct regular safety inspections, enforce OSHA compliance, and promote a safe working environment
- Manage shipping & receiving operations, ensuring proper documentation and accurate record keeping
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools for reporting, scheduling, and communication purposes
- Collaborate with management on staffing needs, training programs, and operational strategies
- Load trucks daily; weekends as needed.
- Glaze Doors and cut glass/mirrors.
- Labeling all materials that come into the business: hardware, stock lengths, doors, glass
Skills
- Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, operations, and logistics management
- Proven team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, and RF scanners
- Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as lean management
- Skilled in operating heavy material handling equipment including forklifts and other material handling tools
- Excellent managerial communication skills for clear instruction and team coordination
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and materials handling best practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures, inventory control, and distribution center operations
