The Irrigation Technician is responsible for helping the project closeout and construction teams with irrigation system management for projects from construction to project completion. This role requires advanced knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape trade. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Irrigation Systems Management
- Travel to project sites daily to conduct inspections and repairs of commercial irrigation systems.
- Manage the programming and troubleshooting of all irrigation systems under contract.
- Field technical questions from construction managers and troubleshoot to find solutions.
- Interface with irrigation manufacturers for issues, inspections and other matters.
- Coordinate with Project Managers on any questions or issues that may arise during the construction process.
- Generate daily activity reports on Plan Grid.
- Coordinate project closeout process and attend site meetings.
- Assist Project Managers in all aspects of Project from start to finish.
- Other duties as assigned by the project management team.
- Manage submittal process for projects assigned to.
- Assist landscape maintenance team with ongoing maintenance activities as needed.
- Assist with plant care and place replacement as needed.
- Walk and inspect maintenance work and report issues to closeout PM.
- Ensure closeout/warranty documents are completed as part of project closeout process.
- Valid driver's license with favorable DMV record.
- Knowledge of basic Microsoft software systems such as Word and Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively with many different people.
- Strong desire to be a part of a close working supportive team.
- 3-5 Years of experience in the commercial landscape industry.
- A willingness to learn and complete tasks as needed that supports the team.
- Comfortable working with various software systems and basic computer skills.
