Hematology Oncology Associates was established in Palm Beach County over 35 years ago, and has grown to include 10 Board Certified Hematologist and Oncologists and 6 Nurse Practitioners in 3 convenient locations within our community. Our goals are to provide state of the art cancer treatments with a high level of compassionate care in a warm inviting environment. We also specialize in treatment of coagulation blood disorders, leukemias and other hematologic benign conditions. Job Description
- Coordinate and schedule all treatment-related appointments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, injections, lab work, and follow-up visits.
- Work closely with oncologists, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure accurate and timely treatment planning.
- Communicate with patients to confirm appointments, provide instructions, and address questions or concerns.
- Monitor provider schedules and infusion chair availability to avoid scheduling conflicts or delays.
- Verify prior authorizations for treatment when required; collaborate with insurance coordinators as needed.
- Update and maintain electronic medical records (EMR) with current appointment and treatment information.
- Ensure that treatment plans are accurately reflected in the scheduling system according to provider orders.
- Respond to patient calls and messages in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism per HIPAA and practice policies.
- Assist in the coordination of referrals, imaging, or outside consults as directed
