We actively work together to create a positive, enjoyable, and inclusive work environment.Universal Qualifications Shared Values and Qualifications Among All Laboratory Sections Consistent ability to troubleshoot concerns with a solutions-based perspective The ability to complete work accurately with minimal supervision Proactively engages in sharing of knowledge and appropriately coaching team members Ability to accomplish tasks increasing in complexity as delegated by Supervisor/DirectorResponsibilities include but not limited to: Nucleic acid isolation and reagent preparation Quality control documentation and oversight Assay set-up for gene rearrangements/point mutations/ Sanger and Next Generation sequencing (NGS)/RQ-PCR Equipment maintenance, data and sequence analysis, and report drafting Communication with Supervisor and section director(s) regarding daily workflow and case progression Communicate with team members daily regarding workflow and section needs Review SOPs annually and follow SOPs to perform daily clinical workflow Participation in section quality management activities Participate in annual competency assessments Participate in Proficiency Testing (CAP) Assist the laboratory in maintain compliance with CLIA and CAP requirements with participation in onsite inspectionsQualifications: At least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience is strongly preferred Experience with hematologic malignancies and sequencing (NGS and Sanger) is preferred Experience with NGS platforms such as Illumina, Archer, etc. is an advantage for this position Passion for providing high-quality and industry-leading diagnostic services as well as patient care Deeply committed to continuous learning and staying abreast of scientific advances Must possess a high level of attention to detail, high-complexity technical and interpersonal skill sets to support an interdisciplinary teamwork setting (flow cytometry, cytogenetics) Has the ability to receive and incorporate coworker and leadership feedback, demonstrating self-awareness and a growth mindset Ability to complete tasks successfully and efficiently, as delegated by Supervisor/Director Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree Works successfully in a team environment Strong written & verbal communication skillsExcellent critical thinking skillsLevel II TechnicianAn intermediate level position requiring at least 2 years of relevant clinical laboratory experience and:Once fully trained, demonstrates competency with RNA processes including setting up validation runs, conducting analysis for validation Responsible for accurately and efficiently completing RNA isolation and reverse transcription Competence in QC analysis, RNA 6 months analysis, master mix validation, etc.Demonstrate ability to learn and execute NGS responsibilities with increasing competency Ability to validate a master mix, demonstrated by accurately compiling results and troubleshooting basic issues Fulfills all post-amp responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy Demonstrates increasing ability to complete complex tasks with growing understanding of clinical processes, such as catching errors proactively and seeking out information to grow clinical knowledge Consistent ability to troubleshoot concerns with solutions-based perspective The ability to complete work accurately with minimal supervisionProactively engages in sharing of knowledge and appropriately coaching team membersHematoLogics is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. Long-term disability coverage is provided with 100% of monthly premiums paid for by the company. We offer up to 6% match at 6 months tenure and beyond for 401K contributions by the employee.We offer 12 days of vacation (on an accrual basis), 10 days of sick time (front-loaded at the time of your start date), and 11 paid holidays. We offer tuition reimbursement, anniversary awards, profit-sharing programs, 100% coverage of ORCA card or $50 per month onsite parking, and a variety of other benefits to recognize our teams meaningful contributions to patient care and the company.
