Salary Range: $6,806.73 - $9,820.80 monthly
SUMMARY
The Department of Health Services (DHS), Plan Partnership and Payer Strategies Team is seeking a qualified candidate for a Staff Analyst, Health position. This position is accountable for overseeing our CalAIM health plan contracts and managing the relationship with the health plan on behalf of DHS.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position will be responsible for an array of assignments. Assignments are inclusive, but not limited to the following:
- Researches, identifies, and analyzes federal and state statutory, regulatory and health policy changes, as it pertains to CalAIM, and other programs as needed.
- Serves as a liaison to coordinate dissemination of information between DHS stakeholders, and state regulators, as well as contracted Health Plan partners as applicable.
- Facilitates seamless data exchange, ensuring efficient flow of information, inclusive but not limited to regulatory reporting, amendment fillings, financial and administrative performance reports within DHS and external partners like the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), and other regulatory agencies.
- Provides technical assistance on CalAIM requirements, maintaining, and tracking all deliverables and deadline, and facilitating timely completion of tasks, fostering effective communication to ensure DHS adherence with regulatory and policy requirements applicable to DHS managed care medical group and hospital health plan agreements.
- Organizes and maintains a comprehensive data library, facilitating easy access to critical information for the team.
- Researches and analyzes protocols, best practices, policy issues, pending legislation, regulations, potential funding sources, and technical research, and makes recommendations to management regarding impact on services.
- Prepares position papers/recommendations on issues relating to various program areas.
- Attends and conducts meetings with internal and external stakeholders, and other entities to resolve issues that impact various programs.
- Prepares written reports on program activities and/or on progress toward achieving the overall goals of the program.
- Performs special assignments and projects, as directed.

Education/Experience
- Four years of experience in a staff capacity analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of problems of organization, program, procedure, budget or personnel -OR- One year of highly responsible administrative or staff experience.
Certificates/Licenses/Clearances
- A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
- Successfully clear the LA County Live Scan process.
- Must comply with LA County Health Officer COVID-19 vaccine order. Must be Fully Vaccinated.
Other Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- At a minimum, an Associate Degree: Associates of Art (A.A), Associates in Science (A.S), Associates in Arts Degree in Nursing (AADN), from an accredited college or university.
