Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches
- Operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee key areas and detect potential threats or incidents
- Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, and contractors
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents following established emergency response procedures
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security concerns, disturbances, or violations observed during shifts
- Perform background checks on visitors or vendors when necessary to ensure compliance with security policies
- Assist with conflict de-escalation and conflict management to resolve issues calmly and professionally while maintaining safety
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields is highly preferred
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, access control systems, and emergency response procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required for equipment or incident management
- Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation and fire safety is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear incident reports and perform effective conflict de-escalation
- Familiarity with security regulations, loss prevention techniques, and compliance standards
- Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties and respond swiftly in emergency situations
