Babysitter in Oahu, Hawaii
A wonderful visiting family is seeking an experienced, reliable babysitter to care for their two boys, ages 6 and 3, while they attend a wedding in Waikiki, Oahu. The family will be staying between Waikiki and Ko Olina, so applicants should be comfortable traveling between these areas as needed. The family would like to arrange a 3–4 hour trial session prior to the wedding date. This will give both the family and the caregiver an opportunity to get to know each other and ensure everyone is comfortable before the wedding day. Caregiver can use the family's vehicle for transporting the children from the wedding to the hotel.
- Start Date: August 31, 2026
- Position Length: One-time position, ending September 6, 2026
- Schedule: Paid trial session on August 31, September 1, or September 2 (3–4 hours); the family is flexible on the date.
- The wedding shift is Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM.
- Compensation: $30–$35 per hour
Responsibilities
- Serving dinner to the children at the hotel
- Assisting with an occasional nighttime diaper change for the 3-year-old, if needed
- Helping with the children's bedtime routine
- Keeping the children engaged with age-appropriate activities, such as enjoying the resort pool or beach, while providing attentive, hands-on supervision at all times
- Driving the children; pickup from wedding and drive to hotel (~3 miles) Family will provide their vehicle for travel
Requirements
- Must be up to date on CPR certificate or willing to renew
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and valid auto insurance
- Must be able to keep a close eye on children around water activities
- 2 years of paid, professional childcare experience with ability to provide references to cover at least 2 years of such experience
- Must be able to successfully clear a background and social media check
Compensation Benefits
This position pays $30 - 35 per hour
