Guest Services for Corporate Office-Whittier

Under the direct supervision of the Office Lead Supervisor:

  • Greet all incoming visitors and clients, directing them to the appropriate staff or activities.

  • Answers incoming telephone calls, screens, and determines the purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department.

  • Takes messages, emails, or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel is unavailable.

  • Answers questions about the organization and provides callers with address, directions, and another program information.

  • Assist with LCP events or community activities, MPR equipment, kitchen equipment, A/C, unlocking storage doors, answering questions regarding events dates, applications, event deposits, and receipts to client and finance department.

  • Maintaining the rules and regulations of the facility as written in event host contracts with hosts/guests.

  • Maintaining COVID safety protocols and policies that require sanitizing heavy traffic areas when needed.

  • Ensuring the safety of Liberty Community Plaza building and property.

  • Communicating with event hosts on any required updates throughout their event and answering any questions that may arise.

  • Be well versed in all emergency protocols and essential building contacts.

  • Assist Community Partnerships and Administrative Department with certain aspects of room reservations at Liberty Community Plaza as directed which include but are not limited to: receptionist duties, answering inquiry questions, community class information, giving facility tours, applications and supplemental documentation, follow-up with clients, confirming reservations, maintaining the upkeep of equipment, coordinating cleaning schedule, incident reports, supervise events, and archive all reservations & communications.

  • Act as a support and provide weekly updates and overviews of events and room reservations.

  • Act as a liaison of HYC/LCP to community members, organizations, and county departments.

  • Act as an ambassador of HYC/LCP and all programs, community resources, and events put on by the agency.

 

 

Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Flexible with schedule, work evenings and work on Saturdays
  • Ability to effectively work with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to clearly communicate information and instructions verbally and in a written form.
  • Ability to pass a background check, TB, and criminal clearance.
  • Valid California drivers license, current auto insurance, and a good driving record.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of general office procedures and operations.
  • Knowledge of computers and Microsoft/Excel/Outlook program applications.
