Job Summary
To recruit, license, and train safe and skilled child foster homes to care for the most vulnerable children in Sherburne County.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Typical tasks include but are not limited to:
Minimum qualifications consist of a BA degree in Social Work or closely related field plus 1-3 years of social work experience or equivalent education plus social work experience.
Sherburne County offers an exceptional benefit plan including Paid Time Off starting at 21 days per year and increasing to a maximum of 33 days per year; 10 paid holidays; cafeteria benefit plan including health, life, dental, vision, short term and long term disability, & long term care insurance; medical and dependent care reimbursement accounts (Section 125 Plan); deferred compensation plan and Public Employees Retirement (PERA). Some benefits are pro-rated for employees working more than 30 but less than 40 hours per week. Part-time employees working less than 20 hours per week do not receive benefits.

- Maintain case records, documenting eligibility or disqualifying factors.
- Conducting home inspections, documenting problems and corrections.
- Investigation of complaints against licensed homes.
- Participation in area-wide and State-wide associations to develop and share skills related to foster care licensing.
- Conduct orientation meetings.
- Provide training and support to providers.
- Management of a small crisis nursery caseload.
