Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Thrift Store Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service, maintaining store organization, and contributing to the overall success of our thrift store. This position involves engaging with customers, assisting with sales, and ensuring that the store remains well-stocked and visually appealing.
Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately, handling cash transactions with care.
- Assist customers with their purchases, providing product information and upselling items when appropriate.
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to create an inviting shopping environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including the sales floor and backroom areas.
- Communicate effectively with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Can lift up to 50 lbs
- Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Exhibit strong phone etiquette when answering calls or assisting customers over the phone.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work atmosphere.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and operating a cash register is a plus.
- Basic math skills are essential for processing transactions accurately.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with customers.
