Organizational Relationships:
- Reports to: Operations Manager
- Directs: This is a nonsupervisory position
Summary: Developing the knowledge and skills of the agency’s workforce. Ensure that the workforce can meet its current and future business objectives and deliver quality training to all employees. Have the knowledge to explain agency policy and procedures. Maintain training files and expirations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Must have good communication skills
- Always maintain client confidentiality.
- Comply with HIPPA guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Provide required training for all employees
- Maintain records of trainings and report non-compliance
- Provide accurate training ensuring all employees have understanding of course
- Oversee Medication Administration Certification for all employees.
- Certified to train in CPR, PMT, Dysphasia, Abuse and Neglect
- Must become certified trainer in CPR/ First Aid, PMT, Dysphasia, Abuse and Neglect, and any other DDS required trainings.
Qualification/Requirements:
- Must maintain and remain current with all certifications.
- Administrative skills to manage training programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Punctual
- Able to work with minimum supervision
- Good analytical and planning skills to assess training needs.
- Evaluate competency level of individual trainees so that they can work with employees with different knowledge and skill levels.
- Able to work collectively with the administrative team associates.
- Design programs using techniques such as classroom learning, demonstrations, one-on-one coaching or learning as needed,
- Ensuring employees achieve the levels of skill necessary for their job
- Excellent presentation skills and comprehensive knowledge of the topic they are discussing
- Communicate the correct information and handle any questions from trainees.
- Medication Coordinator
Education/Training/Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one year experience
Working conditions and physical demands.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, squat, bend, reach, stoop, pull, push, ascend and descend stairs and ramps, lift and carry up to 35 lbs. and other daily movements.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and communicate well.
- Available to work scheduled monthly training- - average 16 hours per training.
- Ability to operate a calculator, computer, copier/fax machine and multi-line telephone.
