Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Manager to oversee the operations of our residential care facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various healthcare settings, including assisted living, long-term care, and memory care. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to providing high-quality care for residents, and the ability to manage a team effectively while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations of the residential facility, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents.
- Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to maintain high standards of care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, addressing their unique needs and preferences.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive medical care for residents, including medication administration and routine assessments.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Facilitate communication between residents, families, and staff to enhance the quality of life for all residents.
- Oversee documentation related to resident care, including medical records and incident reports.
- Provide support in areas such as Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, acute pain management, and hospice care.
Requirements
- Proven experience in healthcare management or a related field; experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, patient assessment procedures, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA).
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems Therap Systems.
- Critical care experience is a plus; familiarity with ICU or emergency medicine is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities.\
- Ability to perform medical procedures such as medication administration, insulin and vital sign monitoring.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
