Entry Level Non-Medical Transportation Driver

Job Title: Transportation Driver

Department: Operations

Reporting to: Manager

Classification: Full Time, Part Time

Compensation: $9.25 per hour to start.

Effective Date: After passing all pre-employment qualifications

Probation Period: 90 Day Orientation

Summary

Provide the transportation of clients to and from work, Adult Day Training programs, school and their private residences in a safe, secure and professional manner.

Requirements

Must comprehend, and comply with, the Helping Heart LLC Employee Manual.

• Exceed minimum age requirement of 21 years old
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s license and provide a current 10‐year DMV printout.
• No more than 1 moving violation or 1 “at fault” accident within the past 3 years.
• Pass a mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Must pass a mandatory Level 2 Background Screening
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Flexible in scheduling
• Able to work some weekends/holidays
  
  

Duties And Rresponsibilities

Transporting patients and clients utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manner.

• Effectively communicates with office regarding schedule progress and to receive instructions.
• Maintain a professional image and attitude in regards to clients, visitors and co‐workers.
• Complete daily vehicle pre‐trip and post trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Assist clients and patients as needed to safely complete the transfer.
• Must understand instructions in English (both written and spoken).
• Must be able to accurately complete activity logs vehicle reports.
• Must be able to understand and operate GPS devices, and cell phones.
• Must be physically able to step up and down steps, safely secure clients for transport, lift up to 50 lbs, and transport wheelchair patients on paved and unpaved surfaces
