Position Summary
Helping Hands Training and Consulting Inc. is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Credentialing Assistant to support our healthcare provider credentialing and insurance enrollment operations.
This is an onsite, part-time position scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, five hours per day. The position will initially consist of 10 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours and expanded responsibilities based on performance and business needs.
The selected candidate will assist with collecting provider documentation, tracking credentialing applications, communicating with providers and insurance companies, and maintaining accurate records through Google Workspace and payer portals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and verify provider credentialing documents
- Review documents for completeness, accuracy, expiration dates, and missing information
- Request missing, expired, incomplete, or corrected documents from providers
- Enter and maintain provider information in credentialing trackers and internal records
- Monitor credentialing and contracting applications through submission, processing, and completion
- Follow up with insurance companies regarding pending applications and enrollment statuses
- Document payer communications, representative names, call reference numbers, application statuses, and follow-up dates
- Draft routine credentialing emails using approved company templates
- Upload and organize documents in Google Drive and applicable insurance portals
- Use Google Workspace, including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Calendar
- Provide general administrative support related to credentialing and provider enrollment
- Protect confidential provider, client, insurance, and company information
- Follow company procedures for handling sensitive and protected information
- Complete other administrative and credentialing-related assignments as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and follow-up tasks
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort working with online systems
- Experience using email, spreadsheets, document-management systems, and cloud-based platforms
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
