The Laura Mae’s Team Member position is part-time and reports to the Team Lead.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Laura Mae’s Team Member
- Welcomes customers and volunteers.
- Assists in shelving and restocking items.
- Accepts donations and provides donation slip.
- Assists with the organization, processing, pricing and cleaning of inventory.
- Provides supervision of the volunteers working in the warehouse.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the store.
- Uses cash register to ring up customer purchases.
- Answers customer inquiries and calls for assistance as necessary.
- Answers store phones and transfers calls to the appropriate department or personnel.
- Provides accurate information on Laura Mae’s and Helping Hands Ministry.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Able to work during store hours Monday-Friday, 10:00-4:00, and Saturday's 10:00-3:00.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
- Maintains a professional but friendly demeanor at all times.
- Is capable of working a cash register.
- Works well with others.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
- Possesses ability to think creatively to organize and process donations.
- Is comfortable handling and counting money.
- Remains patient and polite, even with angry or upset customers and/or volunteers.
- Able to lift 35 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and squat.
- Manages time efficiently.
- Pays close attention to detail.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.50 per hour
