Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support clients during meal preparation and feeding to promote proper nutrition and hydration.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.
- Conduct patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior that may require medical attention.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
- Follow detailed care plans created by healthcare professionals to ensure personalized patient care.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams on patient monitoring, documentation, and reporting of any concerns or incidents.
- Support clients with complex needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities through specialized memory care techniques.
- Engage in ongoing training related to CPR, first aid, hospice care, and other relevant certifications to enhance caregiving skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience in home health care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is a plus but will provide training for the right individuals.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certifications if not already held.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges such as autism or dementia is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Compassionate attitude combined with patience and respect for client independence and dignity.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight as needed for client support. Pay: From $16.00 per hour
