Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Helping Hands Empowerment Center Inc. is seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide community-based support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Pay: $17-$18 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Some Saturdays as needed
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Comfortable transporting individuals in your vehicle
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass background checks
- Dependable, patient, and professional
Job Duties:
- Support individuals during community activities and outings
- Assist with social skills, communication, and independence goals
- Provide safe transportation to community locations
- Complete daily documentation and progress notes
- Encourage participation in recreational and educational activities
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served
