Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Young Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a nurturing learning environment for young children, particularly toddlers, and supporting their developmental milestones. This role involves creating engaging activities, ensuring safety, and promoting positive behavior in a classroom setting. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of toddlers
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment tailored to the needs of young children
- Monitor and document each child's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, napping, and outdoor activities
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and social skills
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and learning materials
- Collaborate with team members to plan activities that support inclusive education for children with disabilities or special needs
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and health protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific activities for toddlers
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment
- First aid certification is preferred; ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
- Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Compassionate caregiving attitude with patience and understanding
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques effectively
- Familiarity with early childhood education best practices, including nurturing social-emotional growth and fostering independence
