What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician/ABA Therapist position at Helping Hands Behavior Therapy?
Helping Hands Behavior Therapy is looking for compassionate behavior technicians to join the team. Work with a highly-experienced BCBA, specializing in ABA therapy and Natural Environment Training. The candidate will assist in implementing behavior reduction and skill acquisition treatment plans for in-home therapy. *Opportunity to become full-time work if willing to travel between Sahuarita and Tucson.
Technicians at Helping Hands monitor and record behavior, work with parents and educators, report to the lead BCBA and develop and maintain relationships with clients. Prior experience in education, childcare or a behavioral health setting is advantageous. If you are not a Registered Behavior Technician yet, see below for more information. Registered Behavior Technician Responsibilities
Provide direct behavioral services to individuals either in home, at school, or in the community based on a plan written by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Record data using our web based collection system
Communicate with the families of your clients and assist in the training of these family members
Create a positive and productive environment when around clients and their families
Adhere to HIPPA compliance and maintain strict confidentiality
Pursue to better your skills as a technician in an effort to support your clients to the best of your ability
Registered Behavior Technician Requirements
High school diploma or educational equivalent
Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Certification as an RBT
Additional certification may be required
Relevant experience preferred
Able to maneuver and play with children and possible siblings
Strong verbal communication skills
Availability typical to a child's schedule
Registered Behavior Technician - Certification

- Successfully complete an RBT initial competency assessment
