Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature regularly
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
- Support patients with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while adhering to dietary restrictions
- Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or developmental disabilities, including memory care activities
- Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury
- Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through routine cleaning tasks and infection control practices
- Observe and document patient conditions meticulously, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals
- Follow established care plans and protocols to deliver consistent, high-quality caregiving services in home health or assisted living environments
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring
- Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance are preferred
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer’s disease or dementia is highly valued
- Strong ability to assist with ADLs and provide direct support tailored to individual needs
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, residents, families, and social workers
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and long shifts; ability to operate mobility aids safely
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care and emotional support
