Responsibilities
- Supervise daily kennel operations, including pet feeding, cleaning, grooming, and exercise routines to ensure optimal animal health and happiness
- Manage team schedules, delegate tasks efficiently, and provide training on animal handling, restraint techniques, and sanitation protocols
- Oversee pet boarding procedures, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety standards for animals in our care
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness by implementing sanitization practices for kennels, common areas, and equipment in accordance with pet care facility regulations
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and compassion, providing information about pet services and addressing concerns promptly
- Monitor animal behavior to identify signs of stress or illness; coordinate veterinary assistance or technician support as needed
- Conduct regular inspections of kennel facilities to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with health standards
Experience
- Proven veterinary experience or veterinary technician background with knowledge of animal health management
- Previous kennel experience or pet sitting roles demonstrating hands-on animal handling skills
- Experience in veterinary assisting or dog training to enhance behavioral management capabilities
- Strong background in animal care routines including grooming, restraint techniques, and behavior assessment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor work comfortably while maintaining safety protocols
- Excellent customer service skills combined with a passion for pet welfare and client communication
- Familiarity with pet boarding procedures, sanitation standards, and facility maintenance practices
