Help Network of Northeast Ohio is seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and visionary Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to provide executive leadership and clinical oversight for a diverse portfolio of behavioral health and community-based programs. The CCO serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, ethical practice, and high-quality service delivery across the agency.

The ideal candidate is an experienced clinical leader who possesses a strong understanding of crisis intervention, suicide prevention, guardianship services, peer support services, family-centered programming, and community behavioral health. This individual must be an effective mentor, collaborator, and strategic thinker who fosters a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous quality improvement.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide clinical leadership and oversight for agency programs, including crisis services, 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, guardianship, peer support services, family services, and other programs. • Ensure programs operate in accordance with agency policies, professional standards, accreditation requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations. • Provide consultation and guidance to program leadership regarding complex client situations, ethical dilemmas, risk management, and best practices. • Promote evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches throughout the organization. • Supervise and mentor clinical leadership staff while fostering professional development and employee engagement. • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance service quality and organizational growth. • Monitor program outcomes and performance measures, utilizing data to drive quality improvement initiatives. • Participate in agency accreditation activities, regulatory reviews, and continuous quality improvement efforts. • Represent the agency in community collaborations, professional organizations, and stakeholder meetings. • Assist with program development, grant initiatives, and identifying emerging community behavioral health needs. • Ensure appropriate documentation, confidentiality, and ethical decision-making across all programs. • Maintain positive working relationships with funding agencies, community partners, hospitals, behavioral health providers, and other stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required • Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling. • Current Ohio licensure as an LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, or equivalent behavioral health license. • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible leadership experience in behavioral health or human services. • Demonstrated knowledge of crisis intervention, suicide prevention, guardianship, peer recovery services, family systems, and community behavioral health. • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Thorough understanding of ethical standards, professional boundaries, confidentiality requirements, and risk management. • Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams and leading organizational change.

Preferred • Independent licensure (LISW or LPCC) strongly preferred. • Experience with CARF, Inform USA, or other accreditation standards. • Experience with grant-funded programs and public behavioral health systems. • Knowledge of Ohio behavioral health regulations and community mental health systems.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Starting salary: $70,000, with compensation based on experience and qualifications. Competitive benefits package and paid time off.
