Job Summary

Are you passionate about working with children and families and looking for a role where your work truly makes a difference? Help Me Grow Pediatric Rehab Services is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the welcoming first point of contact for our clinic.

This position requires strong customer service skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and prior experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and insurance processes. Medical office experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who brings the right attitude and foundational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients and families in a warm, professional manner
  • Schedule and manage appointments in accordance with office policies
  • Complete intake and registration paperwork for new patients
  • Assist families with forms, questions, and general clinic questions
  • Collect co-payments and verify insurance information
  • Obtain Insurance Authorizations
  • Follow up on insurance denials
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and waiting area
  • Develop a working knowledge of the services provided by our clinical team
  • Scan, fax, file, and maintain patient records within the EMR system
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff
  • Escalate questions or concerns to appropriate team members when needed
  • Maintain regular, reliable attendance
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in an administrative, receptionist, or medical office role required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience using an EMR system
  • Working knowledge of insurance and co-payment processes required
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
  • Previous office management or personal assistant experience is a plus
