What Does a Home Care Aide Do?

As a Home Care Aide, you’ll work one-on-one with clients in their homes, providing everyday support that helps make life easier and more comfortable.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Helping with light housekeeping, laundry, organizing, and basic cleaning.
• Assisting with daily activities such as dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Shopping for groceries, running errands, and accompanying clients to appointments.
• Providing friendly companionship and helping clients maintain their independence.

$1,000 New Hire Milestone Bonus Details

The $1,000 new hire milestone bonus is available to eligible caregivers who start on or after June 22, 2026. The bonus is paid in eight increments, with the full accumulated $1,000 paid after 1,000 qualifying work hours from the start date. Caregivers must remain active and use electronic visit verification (EVV) for hours to count toward payout milestones. Employees transferring from an organization within the Help at Home, LLC portfolio are ineligible. Former employees must return after an absence of at least one year to qualify. All milestones must be achieved within 18 months of the start date. Additional eligibility requirements may apply.
