We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Civil / Disability Rights Attorney to assist in filing a complaint against a business that violated a veteran's disability rights.

Responsibilities

  • File a grievance for violation of disabilities & civil rights
  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development
  • Draft legal documents including motions, briefs, contracts, and pleadings with precision and clarity
  • Prepare for and participate in court depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings to effectively represent clients’ interests
  • Engage in negotiations with opposing parties to reach favorable resolutions while maintaining client objectives
  • Manage complex litigation cases involving personal disability rights.

Experience

  • Proven experience in general & commercial litigation with a focus on civil rights or disability law
  • Demonstrated ability to handle personal injury cases from inception through trial preparation
  • Strong background in legal research and statutory legal research techniques using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms
  • Experience drafting contracts, legal motions, pleadings, and conducting procedural law research
  • Familiarity with court depositions, trial preparation strategies, and client communication best practices
  • Knowledge of disability rights law.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear legal documentation and advocacy materials

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Expertise in disability / civil rights / landlord-tenant law
  • Strong negotiation skills coupled with effective legal negotiation strategies
  • Experience in legal case management software and familiarity with procedural laws across jurisdictions
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis.
  • Exceptional communication skills for client interaction and courtroom advocacy
