Job Summary
Cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates. Have input on daily specials and bring your ideas to ideas for creative dishes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan and execute menu items
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle and store food products properly
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
