Senior Operations Manager, Procurement
Location: NYC, NJ, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Chicago, Toronto, Abbotsford, Edmonton
Support the flawless execution of the operations plan, for all categories, sites and brands in the Procurement Operations Umbrella. We aim to have 0 missed boxes, 0 ingredient subs, and 0 costing overages due to procurement related misses. The Senior Operations Manager's role is directly responsible for overseeing ops projects from inception to completion and measuring success. It is also expected to foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee development, alongside the goal of driving both cost efficiencies and quality improvements. Lead the identification of key process bottlenecks and operational risks developing and executing corrective action plans that focus on continuous improvement and long-term value creation. Partner with Procurement leadership on long-term strategy across Operations and Strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Guide team development, vision and culture
- Be a thought leader as we develop an overarching procurement ops strategy and long term vision
- Drive change management efforts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational agility across the organization.
- Manage multiple teams of 4-10 individuals, including skip levels
- Own development of Ops Managers and/or Associate Managers (AOMs) including weekly 1:1s, 30E30s, and performance reviews
- Be intentional about attitude, approach, communication style, and positivity
- Manage cross-functional relationships, projects and escalations
- Manage escalations (from production facilities, vendors, or etc) quickly and efficiently through a structured approach and effective and comprehensive communication
- Own and drive relationships with internal partners - Strategy, 3PW and 3PL teams, Logistics, Ops, Forecasting, Network, Finance
- Manage and lead cross-functional projects and coach and develop the team to lead initiatives or projects on their own
- Ensure flawless execution of weekly ops
- Manage completion of accurate weekly costing, and invoice approvals; support finance processes weekly and monthly through research. Execution of credits, refunds, RTVs effectively.
- Ensure that launch is completed on time and accurately for all SKUs. Manage tickets and communications - responses are quick, comprehensive, and issues are closed out.
- Manage PO placement, communication, improvements and issue resolution
- Serve as primary POC for DC communications, questions, ad-hoc training, escalations, and problem resolution
- PTO management and coverage
- Drive Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Foster positive relationships with internal and external teams to support team and project project outcomes.
Build relationships and processes within procurement and with internal partners
- Encourage clear, strong, comprehensive communication with the team
- Provide guidance and mentorship to project managers and team members, promoting a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

At a minimum, you have...
- A Bachelor’s degree is required
- 6 years of purchasing or other relevant leadership experience, preferably in produce, protein, or other food products.
- Vast knowledge and interest in food
- Quantitative and analytical experience (either through education or professional experience) including solid comfort in Excel.
