At hellocare.ai, we are transforming healthcare communication through technology. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a highly experienced Senior Accountant to take full ownership of our accounting and financial operations.
This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role working closely with leadership and directly influencing key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end accounting function of the company
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly accounting operations in QuickBooks
- Manage Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), payroll processing, expense management, reimbursements, and bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
- Deliver management reports and financial dashboards
- Ensure timely and accurate sales tax, payroll tax, and corporate tax preparation support
- Lead year-end close and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
- Monitor and manage cash flow, revenue recognition, and expense controls
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, financial projections, and variance analysis
- Maintain compliance with US GAAP, IRS regulations, and state and federal laws
- Implement and improve internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures
- Identify financial risks and provide actionable recommendations to leadership
- Support strategic decision-making with accurate financial insights
- Oversee software subscriptions, vendor payments, and contract financial tracking
- Manage intercompany transactions if applicable
- Assist with M&A due diligence, fundraising reporting, or board reporting if required
- Ensure proper documentation of all financial processes
- Act as the primary financial point of contact for auditors, banks, and tax authorities
Your Profile
- 7 years of accounting experience in a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or similar role
- Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, federal and state tax regulations, payroll compliance, and revenue recognition
- Experience managing full-cycle accounting independently
- Experience in high-growth startups, SaaS, or technology companies is a strong plus
- Experience preparing financials for audits, investors, or board reporting
- Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow modeling, and financial analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- CPA or equivalent certification is a strong advantage
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently
- Strong ownership mentality, leadership skills, and accountability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Clearwater, Florida
