Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including dishwashing, sanitizing work stations, and proper storage of food items
- Support meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients with precision and knife skills
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper handling procedures at all times
- Assist with menu planning support tasks as needed, contributing ideas for new dishes or specials
- Help manage food inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the team
- Support catering events or special functions by preparing and serving food in a professional manner
Qualifications
- Experience working in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required
- Prior restaurant or food service experience demonstrating knowledge of food handling, cooking, and meal preparation
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, knife skills, and food safety protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues and guests
- Knowledge of fine dining standards or catering experience is a plus but not mandatory
