Position: Part Time General Laborer
Reports to: Intake Coordinator
Job Classification: Part time employee
Overall Responsibilities:
We are looking for responsible and reliable individuals who are physically capable of assisting our truck driver pick up furniture and transport to the store to unload and help process other donations.
This person will help us bring Christ to people and people to Christ by helping our thrift store generate a profit to distribute through our various Give Back Programs to charitable organizations in Glynn County.
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 10:00am - 3:00pm
General Qualifications:
- Responsible and Reliable
- Customer Service; friendly, helpful
- Valid driver's license
- Clean Driving Record
- Ability to drive 16ft truck to do pickups
- Ability to lift upwards of 50lbs and standing for long periods
- Verifiable work history
- Agree to national background check and drug screen as a pre-condition of employment and as a condition continuing employment
Necessary Skills:
- Excellent Customer Service
- Outgoing, friendly personality
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast pace, labor intensive work environment
- Ability to greet donors in a friendly manner while taking in and unloading their donations
- Ability to sort donations appropriately and follow directions
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work space
- Ability to complete regular weekly maintenance checks on the company truck
