DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve beverages in a timely manner; understand customer needs and make recommendations
• Assist with inventory control; stocking and ordering supplies as needed
• Prepare cocktails while adhere to restaurant recipes and specifications
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow Hellgate’s sanitation procedures
• Enforce rules and regulations set forth by Hellgate and the OLCC at all times
• Accurately process a transaction, collect money, and distribute & count change back
• Perform all other assigned duties

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 18 years of age
• Earned a high school diploma or equivalent
• Possess a Food Handlers Card and OLCC permit prior to one’s start date
• Effective written, verbal and listening communications skills
• Able to read and interpret written information, and write clearly, accurately and concisely
• Demonstrate a strong guest-orientation and service mentality
• Possess basic mathematical knowledge and abilities
• Able to lift and maneuver up to 50lbs

**Candidates must pass a background check, drug screen and other pre-employment job requirements**

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous professional bartending experience
• Well-versed in specialty cocktails, beer and wine; detailed-oriented, and thrives under pressure.

OTHER DETAILS:

• Full-time: Flexible schedule available; depends on organization’s needs
• Pay Rate: $15.00/hr tips

Job Duties:

• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building a rapport with clientele
• Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring that all funds in the cash drawer are accounted for by the end of the shift
• Keep an eye on patron intoxication levels and respond appropriately
• Identify belligerent customers, and work with management when needed to maintain a safe environment
• Clean the bar and the surrounding area of spills and other messes as needed
• Other duties as requested
