What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern - Accounting position at HellermannTyton?
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Controller, the Intern - Accounting is responsible for assisting the department with accounting projects such as the sales tax audit, AP Improvement Project and fixed asset audits.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in the month-end closing process, analysis and preparing journal entries
- Maintain monthly account analysis and reconciliations
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reporting book
Other Functions:
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis
- Assist in AR and AP processing
- Assist in new item set-up and cost maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Above average verbal and written communication skills.
- 2 years of college level classes and actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
- Computer proficient including Windows based software
- Hours of availability from 8:00 until 4:30
