Picking Clerk 1

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Distribution Supervisor, with guidance from the Warehouse Lead, the Picking Clerk is responsible for picking, scanning, and distributing orders. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.

Essential Functions

• Pick orders on a first-in, first-out basis according to date code.
• Use and interpret bin location and date code systems.
• Follow any specifications or instructions on orders/shipping documents.
• Ability to use ERP system to process orders.
• Transport picked orders to the appropriate shipping area.
  
  

Other Functions

• Other duties may be assigned.
• Obtain product knowledge.
  
  

Success in this role will require

• Ability to use an RF scanner.
• Use and interpret bin location and date code systems.
• Ability to pick/pull the correct product, quantities, and follow customer specs per order.
• Using FIFO (First in, first out) to pull product.
  
  

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand/walk for up to 10 hours/day.
• Good math skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Prior forklift experience.
• Use of appropriate PPE.
• 6 months of prior shipping experience
