Reporting to the Head of EHS and Sustainability, the EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing environmental, health, and safety programs. This role ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including OSHA, EPA, and ISO certifications (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001). The EHS Manager will lead initiatives to reduce workplace hazards, enhance safety culture, promote sustainability, and achieve continuous improvement in EHS performance. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of EHS strategies. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.

Essential Functions:

EHS Leadership: Provide support to ensure alignment with HellermannTyton’s OIMS framework, NA EHS Policies, and ISO 14001/45001/50001

  • Drive integration of EHS expectations into daily operations and long‑term planning.
  • Partner with cross‑functional leaders to embed safety and environmental stewardship into decision‑making.
  • Ensure documentation, procedures, and controls meet internal and external compliance requirements.

EHS Objectives & KPIs: Support development and execution of site‑specific annual goals that improve safety, sustainability, and

  • Track and report progress toward targets, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Identify performance gaps and lead corrective action planning.
  • Use leading indicators to manage risk proactively.

Risk Management: Ensure completion and maintenance of risk assessments, HAZOPs, JSAs, and Control of Work processes.

  • Validate that controls are implemented, effective, and periodically reviewed.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional participation in hazard identification activities.

Incident Investigation: Lead investigations for incidents, near misses, and environmental releases.

  • Apply structured RCA methodologies (e.g., 5‑Why, Fishbone, 8D, and/or cause mapping).
  • Ensure corrective and preventive actions are assigned, implemented, and verified.
  • Communicate findings to site and regional leadership.

Incident Reporting & Compliance: Oversee reporting in accordance with internal protocols and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure timely submission of internal notifications and external regulatory filings.
  • Maintain accurate incident records and documentation.
  • Support corporate reviews and follow‑up actions.

Lessons Learned & Knowledge Sharing: Develop and deliver materials that strengthen organizational learning.

  • Facilitate sitewide and cross‑site learning sessions.
  • Integrate lessons learned into training, procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Reinforce a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Audits, Reviews & Inspections: Conduct routine audits and inspections to verify compliance with OIMS, regulations, and best practices. Document findings and track closure of corrective actions.

  • Engage employees at all levels to build ownership of EHS performance.
  • Provide coaching to improve audit readiness and compliance maturity.

Self‑Assessments & External Audits: Lead internal assessments and support external audits.

  • Prepare audit materials, evidence, and documentation.
  • Coordinate auditor interactions and ensure timely responses to findings.
  • Develop improvement plans that address systemic issues.

Performance Analysis & Reporting: Use leading and lagging indicators to evaluate EHS performance.

  • Prepare reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
  • Identify trends and emerging risks using data analytics.
  • Recommend targeted improvement initiatives based on insights.

Emergency Program Management: Maintain and execute the site’s emergency response program.

  • Develop and update emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Ensure training for emergency response teams.
  • Conduct drills and simulations to validate readiness.

Other duties:

  • May take on other duties as assigned.
  • May visit other sites and take on EHS responsibilities as required.
  • Supervise and manage EHS direct reports

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of experience in an EHS Management role.
  • 5 years of experience in EHS, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Knowledge and experience of ISO 45001 & 14001.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel regionally (10%).
  • Flexible with job assignments and responsibilities
