Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and execute a variety of engaging activities that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, physical activity, and emotional well-being for residents.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and caregivers to tailor programs for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other memory impairments.
- Coordinate special events, outings, and therapeutic recreational activities aligned with residents’ interests and abilities.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed during activities to ensure safety and participation.
- Manage scheduling of activities efficiently to ensure consistent programming while accommodating individual needs.
- Provide counseling and support related to aging issues by offering guidance on social engagement and community involvement.
- Maintain detailed records of participation, resident feedback, and activity outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness.
Experience
- Proven experience in event planning within assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred.
- Extensive background in senior care environments such as long-term care or home & community care settings is essential.
- Familiarity with Alzheimer’s care, memory care programs, dementia care strategies, and recreational therapy techniques is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments while maintaining patience and empathy.
- Strong communication skills for engaging residents, families, staff members, and community partners.
- Experience assisting residents with ADLs during activities to promote independence safely.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
