What is special about this role?

• Lead a team of engineers and collaborating with Product to have successful business outcomes

• The Enterprise Tools team builds internal tools and services to streamline work across the entire company

• Work with key internal stakeholders in developing novel solutions for a rapidly growing company and field

As a Team Lead (Senior Software Engineer), you will:

• Partner with a Product Manager to ensure the team has goals that are both clear and feasible, provide high level estimates
• Lead the team by supporting, unblocking, and otherwise helping ensure smooth execution
• Be hands on with designing applications, writing code, and deploying to production
• Encourage team members to use best practices, including when responding to any production issues

 About you:

• A passion for improving people’s lives through access to better information about their DNA

• 1 year experience as a Technical/Team Lead

• 4 years working as a Software Engineer

• Experience working with production systems and data

• Good communication skills

• Affinity for an engineering culture that emphasizes both quality and agility

Pluses:

• BS in Computer Science; coursework in genetics or bioinformatics
• Previous experience with enterprise software
• Familiarity with full-stack development
