Responsibilities
As a Branch Manager, your general duties will include but are not limited to:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the traffic control branch, ensuring efficient delivery of services to clients.
- Develop and implement traffic control plans, including managing lane closures, detours, signs, cones, barriers, and other traffic management devices.
- Ensure all traffic control projects comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations and guidelines.
- Manage the staffing, scheduling, and training of the traffic control team, ensuring all workers are appropriately certified and prepared.
- Provide safety training and guidance to traffic control personnel and ensure adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Monitor the progress of traffic control projects, addressing any operational or safety issues promptly.
- Maintain and manage the branch’s inventory of equipment, tools, and traffic control devices, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and engineers to integrate traffic control plans into overall project timelines and requirements.
