We are currently taking applications/resumes for an EXPERIENCED Foreman/Superintendent for the Vacherie, LA & surrounding areas. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following: Qualifications:High school or GED diploma preferredHeavy Civil Construction, Pile Driving, Marine Construction, or Structural Fabrication experience preferredMinimum of five years of heavy civil construction experience and progressive responsibility in a supervisory role preferredExperience and knowledge in operations of heavy equipment preferredPrevious experience as a construction foreman or superintendent or in a similar roleEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Promotes, executes and adheres to the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental program and encourages all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.Leads all employees of work crew, plans and coordinates needed equipment and resources for the job site, and supervises all actions that engage in the workflow, quality, and timeliness of each phase of the project.Ensures sufficient deployment and productivity of work crews.Engages in open communication with Project Managers and reports any issues which could affect the project plan.Works as a team member and leader.Organizes and coordinates the daily activities of all crew members, subcontractors, equipment and utilizes corrective action to keep the project on time and within budget.Takes responsibility for accurately and timely reporting of employee time each week.Observes to determine potential quality control issues, and apply necessary corrections.Identifies and executes best practices concerning the efficient use of construction materials.Plans work in an efficient and effective order, maximizing progress in a safe and timely manner.Reviews and adheres to construction schedules, ensuring milestones and completion dates are met.Ensures company equipment is safely operated, cared for, maintained and used effectively.Reads and interprets project plans and specifications.Operates heavy equipment and other construction duties as necessary.Attends meetings as necessary.Performs other duties or task as required based on company’s needs.Qualified candidates can submit a resume or apply on the attached link: http://ejob.bz/ATS/jb.do?reqGK=27096001&portalGK=14432
