Job Description:
We're seeking a Medical Technologist Generalist, experienced in clinical laboratory settings, to join our team. This role, ideal for someone eager to grow and make a difference in the industry, requires extensive travel for instrument installations, training, and validations in various client laboratories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel up to 75% for on-site assistance in client locations.
- Handle installation, training, and validation of laboratory instruments.
- Provide expertise in UA, CBC, blood chemistry, and immunology analyzers.
- Review and oversee calibration, controls, policies, and data.
- Design and implement technical policies and procedures.
- Establish reference ranges and provide expertise in various tests and analyzers.
- Support test implementation and verification with an emphasis on precision and accuracy.
- Uphold high standards of quality control and assurance.
- Assist with Microbiology lab operations.
- Other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Thorough knowledge of validation/verification processes for moderate and high complexity tests.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Clinical culture and sensitivity experience (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field. Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
