About the Position
Reporting to the Director of Sales, The Territory Sales Manager - East Coast is responsible for growing revenue and strengthening customer relationships within a defined region on the East Coast. You’ll drive new business development, expand key accounts, and collaborate closely with channel partners to deliver world-class motion solutions.
This role combines strategic account management with hands-on sales execution, ideal for someone who thrives on both building relationships and driving measurable results. In this role, you’ll have a big impact in executing Helix’s go-to-market strategy and achieving ambitious growth goals.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute a regional sales plan that aligns with company growth targets.
- Drive new customer acquisition and grow existing accounts across assigned industries and territories.
- Track and report key performance metrics, pipeline activity, and forecast accuracy.
Account & Channel Management
- Manage and support distributor and channel partner relationships to ensure alignment with Helix’s goals.
- Provide coaching, product training, and joint sales support to maximize partner performance.
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key OEM customers.
Customer Development & Support
- Understand customer needs and applications, working with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineering and Customer Success to ensure timely quoting, order follow-up, and delivery performance.
- Represent Helix at trade shows, customer visits, and technical presentations.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated and met.
- Share voice-of-customer insights to influence product development and business strategy.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience and sales efficiency.
Travel & Territory Engagement
- Travel frequently across your territory (up to 50%) for customer visits, events, and partner meetings.

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- 5 years of technical sales or territory management experience, ideally in motion control or precision manufacturing.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals through strategic account growth.
- Experience managing channel partners or distributors.
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
