About the Role
As a Project Engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager and serve as the critical link between the field and the office. Your primary responsibility is to define project objectives, plan, execute, and finalize projects according to schedule and budget. You’ll play a key role in ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide close support to senior project management on all phases of electrical construction projects.
- Assist in developing project teams while delivering quality output on time and within budget.
- Coordinate scheduling, procurement, contractual requirements, and manpower planning.
- Support and oversee subcontractors and third-party construction firms.
- Manage project reviews with emphasis on financial forecasting and change order negotiations.
- Ensure adherence to quality control processes and project milestones.
- Communicate proactively on challenges, risks, and successes.
- Collaborate with Site Superintendents to assess installation methods and labor needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer in heavy commercial/private electrical construction.
- Strong understanding of electrical power systems and construction management.
- Experience with project scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Preferred: Electrical Engineering or Construction Management degree.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus.
