Role: Business Analyst – Medicaid Claims Processing
Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid)
Required Experience
Overall 10 years of experience required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Medicaid Claims Processing.
Experience analyzing business objectives, identifying problems, and recommending alternative solutions.
Proven ability to review, analyze, and evaluate user requirements, operational procedures, and business processes to automate workflows and improve existing systems.
Experience documenting detailed business requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and system requirements.
Strong background in cost-benefit analysis and evaluating system alternatives.
Experience analyzing and documenting data input/output requirements, reporting formats, and business process workflows.
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including backlog management, user story creation, and wireframe generation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
Knowledge of current Information Technology trends, methodologies, and industry best practices.
Understanding of enterprise architecture concepts, including infrastructure, applications, information architecture, and organizational frameworks.
Knowledge of emerging technologies and their potential impact on business and technology solutions.
Understanding of data integrity, security principles, technology standards, and governance practices.
Experience delivering solutions using Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Experience
Experience with the Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework (PDF) and related documentation templates.
Familiarity with enterprise information architecture and information management methodologies.
Understanding of existing and future software technologies, application architectures, and infrastructure components.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
Work closely with stakeholders to define business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and wireframes.
Support Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user acceptance testing.
Evaluate existing business processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery and implementation.
Assist in project planning, risk assessment, and change management activities.
