VP, Finance and Corporate Controller

Job Summary:

As a VP of Finance and Corporate Controller, you will lead our global finance and accounting functions in a publicly traded company. This role is pivotal in maintaining financial integrity, compliance, controls and transparency in a complex regulatory environment.
 

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy and Leadership:
   1. Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's global objectives and meet the expectations of shareholders, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
   2. Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive team, providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
   3. Serve as a strategic financial partner to leaders of all functions within the business.
       
2. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
   1. Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) where applicable.
   2. Ensure compliance with all global and local financial regulations, as well as SEC reporting requirements for a publicly traded company.
   3. Develop and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting as well as controls to safeguard company assets .
       
3. Operational and Risk Management:
   1. Manage the global financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
   2. Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks associated with international operations.
   3. Drive corporate finance IT systems strategy and execute on opportunities to leverage systems and automation to improve global finance processes.
   4. Coordinate and manage external audits, working closely with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process and address any findings promptly.

   1. Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with international departments to establish financial targets that align with the company's global vision.
   2. Provide accurate financial forecasts and analysis to facilitate strategic planning and performance measurement.

   1. Provide visionary leadership to the global finance team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
   2. Mentor, and develop the corporate accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
   3. Establish clear expectations and provide opportunities for professional growth.

• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
• Extensive experience in senior financial roles, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting leadership within global publicly traded companies; manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of international accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Big 4 or large public accounting firm experience preferred.
• Exposure to SEC reporting and SOX compliance preferred.
