- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers.
- Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested; clarifying items; recommending alternatives and authorizing payment for purchases.
- Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items.
- Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
- Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
- processing requisitions, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring that the necessary parts are delivered and obtained in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Responsible for supporting inventory tracking, tracking, and managing orders, and collaborating with other team members to ensure that the necessary parts are available when needed.
- High school education or GED required; Associates and/or bachelor’s degree.
- At least 1 year’s purchasing experience required.
- HVAC/R or related construction industry experience is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated purchasing experience.
- Strong knowledge of computer skills MS office, and other software applications.
