What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Maintenance Tech position at Helion Group?
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a high-volume aluminum manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment in a production environment.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment
- Maintain and repair aluminum extrusion presses and supporting equipment
- Troubleshoot conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and other rotating equipment
- Diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic systems, cylinders, valves, and components
- Troubleshoot electrical systems using a multimeter and electrical schematics
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics
- Perform equipment changeovers, repairs, adjustments, and installations
- Complete PMs and accurately document maintenance work
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
- Follow all plant safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
What We're Looking For
- Previous industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Experience with motors, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, and pumps
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and use a multimeter
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
- Experience with aluminum extrusion or metal manufacturing is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively to breakdowns
- Strong attendance, reliability, and safety mindset
Salary : $40 - $50
