This is a contract position for a Network Administrator with a hybrid work arrangement, requiring presence in Irvine, CA, while allowing some work from home opportunities. The Network Administrator will be responsible for deploying, managing, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring network security and connectivity across all systems. The role involves working with network hardware, monitoring performance, performing routine upgrades, and collaborating with IT teams to resolve issues. Additionally, the Network Administrator will implement security protocols, manage user access, and support IT-related projects for internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in network design, implementation, and maintenance, including experience with LAN, WAN, and VPN networks
- Extensive knowledge of network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Strong skills in network security, data backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning
- Experience with monitoring and analyzing network performance to ensure optimal functionality
- Familiarity with IT systems integration, troubleshooting, and technical support, including diagnosing network issues
- Understanding of operating systems, including Windows and Linux, and virtualization technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; certifications like CCNA or Network are a plus
