Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Middleware Administrator / Application Server Engineer to support enterprise middleware platforms and mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in IBM WebSphere Application Server, Oracle WebLogic Server, Red Hat JBoss/WildFly, and Microsoft IIS, with hands-on experience in installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, upgrades, and production support. The role requires close collaboration with application, database, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, administer, and maintain WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss/WildFly, and IIS environments.
- Deploy and manage enterprise applications across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Monitor system health, analyze logs, and resolve performance and availability issues.
- Perform JVM tuning, heap analysis, garbage collection optimization, and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve production outages.
- Implement clustering, load balancing, high availability, and failover solutions.
- Manage SSL certificates, authentication mechanisms, and security configurations.
- Apply patches, upgrades, and version management while minimizing downtime.
- Develop automation scripts using Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
- Collaborate with application, database, network, and security teams to ensure end-to-end service availability.
- Support ITIL-based Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes.
- Participate in rotational 24x7 on-call support as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 7 years of hands-on middleware and application server administration experience.
- Strong expertise with:
- IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
- Oracle WebLogic Server
- Red Hat JBoss/WildFly
- Microsoft IIS
- Experience supporting Java-based enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.
- Expertise in JVM tuning, heap analysis, garbage collection, and performance optimization.
- Experience with SSL certificates, load balancing technologies, and highly available clustered environments.
- Proficiency with Shell scripting, Python, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools including Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Understanding of DevOps methodologies and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- ITIL Foundation certification or experience with Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
